The Goals For Inter Will Come - Hernan Crespo
Inter striker Hernan Crespo could not find the back of the net during his side's 3-1 win over Genoa, but he believes his luck will soon change...
Despite having to go into extra-time, Inter managed to overcome a determined ten-man Genoa at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza by a score of 3-1 and advance to the next round of the Coppa Italia.
It was a rare chance to start for Argentine Hernan Crespo, who put in a good performance, but was denied by the heroics of Genoa goalkeeper Alessio Scarpi on several occassions.
"I tried, but the ball wouldn't go in," said a confident Crespo to inter.it.
"It is clear that one cannot ever have a lack of commitment. The opportunities passed by, but in terms of commitment I was not missing anything."
There has been speculation that another Argentine striker could arrive at Inter after national team coach Diego Maradona suggested that some of his team consider joining Inter and Crespo was asked whether he'd prefer Atletico Madrid's Sergio Aguero or Genoa hitman Diego Milito.
"The first one [Aguero]," claimed the 33-year-old, "but only because I identify more with him and his style of play."
